The heart behind Safe Haven

Clinical care, creative thinking and a genuine love of supporting families.

A little about me

Different experience.
One thoughtful approach.

With experience in neonatal nursing, early parenting expertise, nannying and in-home care, I have spent years supporting families through some of the most exciting, overwhelming and life-changing stages of parenthood.

My nursing background gave me a deep understanding of infant safety and development, as well as the practical realities of caring for little ones. Infant safety has always been at the heart of what I do.

But I’m also a creative at heart. With a degree in Design and Textiles, an appreciation for colour theory and a genuine love of interiors, I enjoy bringing a room together — choosing colours and textures, finding clever storage solutions and making every centimetre work harder.

And yes, I’m one of those unusual people who loves assembling flat-pack furniture. In a Safe Haven consultation, though, my role is to assess, advise and guide. Families arrange any physical work separately.

Why we created Safe Haven

Safety + Function + Design

Parents shouldn’t have to choose between a space that looks beautiful, one that genuinely works or one that has safety at its core. Every family, every home and every baby is different. We bring clinical knowledge, practical parenting experience and design expertise together to help you make thoughtful choices for yours.

As a proud mum to two boys and aunty to seventeen nieces and nephews, I know how much the little practical details matter: having what you need within reach, finding a place for things and creating an environment where you feel comfortable and prepared.
